Saco Ranch was initially approved by the Bakersfield City Council in August 2010 and approvals were renewed in October 2015. The regional retail complex is envisioned as a vibrant lifestyle center with upscale retail, restaurants, a state-of-the-art multi screen theater and commercial, office and industrial space.
BENEFITS
Saco Ranch plans an upscale outdoor retail shopping experience to be built in the first phase of the development’s three phases. The development will attract high-quality retail brands that will offer the community a wide array of options for shopping and entertainment in a one-stop shopping environment.
WHO WE ARE
Bidart Bros. farming operation has a long history in Kern County dating back to the 1930s. John and Frank Bidart began farming in Bakersfield right out of high school. Saco Ranch (pronounced “say”-co) at the time was nothing more than a small community with a train station on the main line of the Union Pacific Railroad.
